What is Folk dancing?

This dance form is an example of a partnered dance. In classes a choreographed sequence is generally taught. (Editor).

Folk dancing is for the most part traditional dancing, and is to be found all over the world.
In Britain there is a wide selection of traditional Folk Dance traditions practiced.

As well as "White European" dancing there is obviously Asian dances,,,,

Barn Dancing is - "Easy Folk Dancing" - requires no previous experience or training
Scottish Country Dancing / Folk Dancing is technical and requires special footwear and learning terms
English Country Dancing - technical and requires s learning terms
International Folk Dancing - bring together all forms of folk dancing from around the world
Morris Dancing - (Usually for men) is technical and requires special footwear, clothing and learning terms.
